| Eiswein Winzenheimer Rosenheck Riesling - To make Eiswein you have to pick in temperatures no higher than minus 5ºC so harvesting takes place in a hard frost. The grapes are then taken to the press house for pressing whilst still frozen. The resultant juice, because so much of the water content is still frozen, becomes very concentrated, produces a style of wine that is unique and highly prized. Colour is surprisingly pale and the style is medium sweet. An interesting experience. |
