| Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 2001 4 puttonyos 50cl 2001 - Tokji owes its quality and character to the semi-dried, extremely rich grapes that have been affected by Botrytis. These shriveled grapes (Aszu) are measured in baskets called Putton and for the first 6-8 days they start the slow fermentation process. The initial juice is essencia. The rest of the grapes are mashed up and in this instance 4 puttons of grapes are put into a 30 gallon cask of dry base wine. This is then fermented in the open to produce the dessert wine that you have here. |
