The clock  reads half six in the morning and while the rest of the sane world is sleeping, the last thing you want is to cut short your favourite dream. Unfortunately if there is any chance of accomplishing this dream, one must go to work. Even if you don't have to head to an office, it is common to need wake up assistance. The alarm clock was invented for just that purpose, and if you snore as soundly as you sleep you will need a good one.

- Is this clock for a child? Or an adult?
- What problems do I (or the person for whom you are buying) encounter when waking up?
- Do I want to wake up abruptly, gradually, peacefully?
- Is style important? What type of alarm clock matches my décor?
