If you're tired of your same old shower gel, why not try something new and switch to bar soap? But, don't just buy any cheap old bar of soap Get to know your skin type and your needs, then go for a soap that's fit for you. Our guide will help you figure out the best formulas out there for you to get squeaky clean.

Choosing a Bar Soap

There are so many varieties and brands of bar soap out there, so there's no reason you can't find one that's great. These tips will help you find one that's best for  your skin type and budget.

  1. Budget. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a bar of soap, then that's fine. There are many bargain priced soaps that contain the same ingredients as the more expensive stuff. It's important to find a product that works best for you. Who cares how much it costs?
  2. Soap Types. If you have acne-prone, dry, or oily skin, you might not want to go around experimenting with all the different types. There are creamy soaps, exfoliating soaps, glycerin soaps, etc. For those with special skin types, you might want to purchase soaps designed for your specific condition. If you have normal skin, however, you can try whichever ones you'd like.

Skin Type

Before buying a bar soap it is important to understand your skin type- dry sensitive oily or acne-prone If you do have any of these skin types, you should be careful with what kind of soap you use. Not all soaps are great for every type.

  • Dry and Sensitive Skin
    • Look for the mildest formulas out there. Organics are also a great choice for you because they contain all natural ingredients.

    • Fragrance-free products are best, and try to avoid any products with chemical additives.
  • Acne-Prone Skin

Glycerin soaps can come in all different colors, shapes, and smells. These are often decorative soaps. They can strip the skin, so they are best for those with oilier skin.
