Caribbean Honeymoons

Crystal clear blue water, swaying palm trees, a warm and salty sea breeze, and fine white sand await you.  Snorkelling boating, or diving  together can be done by day... and an evening of fine dining, drinking, and dancing are enjoyed at night.  Sound appealing?  The good news is that honeymooning together in the Caribbean is comfortable, fun, and never goes out of style.

What To Expect

A holiday in the Caribbean brings with it a different climate, and with that, many adventures.  Be prepared by packing appropriate items for the beach, for water sports, for cultural excursions, and clothing for the evenings.

  • Getting Around: Invest in a passport holder  for ease in finding your travel documents.  You will also want to browse maps  of the region and a Caribbean Guide  before departing.
  • Lazy Beach Days: For those days of sunbathing and lounging, sunblock  is absolutely essential for skin safety.  To show off a great tan, use some tanning oil  too.  Have a towel  to stake your claim on an open beach chair and then cosy up with your sunglasses  on and a good book
  • Nature Excursions:  Pack a pair of comfortable hiking boots  for a trek through the rainforest, and be sure to pack binoculars  and a camera  to capture the flora and fauna of the region.
  • Snorkelling: You are going to need a bathing suit snorkel mask fins and a disposable underwater camera
  • Diving: Necessities include a wetsuit mask and scuba gear  You will be able to rent these in most places, though it is nice to use your own.
  • Horseback Riding: Ride off into the sunset, but be sure to wear long pants  or jeans  You will also want to have bug spray  handy.
  • Boating: Whether sailing a catamaran or kayaking, bring a light sweater  or bathing suit cover up  to fight off the winds.  Polarized sunglasses  are also a good bet, as they will protect your eyes from the harsh reflection off of the water.
  • Cultural Outings:  Wear a comfortable pair of sandals  to handle all of the walking, and carry your belongings close to your side in a money clip  Think about bringing your digital SLR camera  to capture the fine details of the unique island.
  • Resort Wear:  Women will want to stay cool in a sun dress and men can consider linen pants  and a linen shirt  These options are versatile and can be dressed up for the evenings out too!
  • Romantic Nights: For those special honeymoon nights, women may want to bring along a few hot numbers  See our guide on intimacy for more honeymoon ideas.
