Illuminating Cheek Makeup Buying Guide

Illuminators  and shimmers  are great for every season and every look. Want to spice up your nighttime look? A touch of shimmer will have you being the star during a night out on the town. Dab them under the arches of the eyebrows, in the corners of the eyes, the bridge of the nose, the cheekbones and in the center of the forehead to highlight or dust them evenly over skin for an angelic glow.

Luminizer Types

You probably want a different intensity of shimmer for a day at the office and a night at a club. Different types of lumizers  have different degrees of shimmer intensity. We've summarized the basic types of luminizers to help you find which one is perfect for you.

Liquid and Cream

Liquids  are great for creating an all-over shimmery dewey look. Blend some in with your moisturizer to create an even look. Creams  work better when used in specific areas rather than all over the face. Creams are great on the cheeks, eyes, or brow bones.  If you have oily skin, make sure your liquid luminizer is water based. Those with dry skin can opt for an oil based liquid luminizer. 	This form works best when highlighting and brightening eyes. Its not intense enough to have much of an effect on any other part of the face. Powder

Illuminizing Lotion
	This is similar to a liquid luminizer, but more subtle. Chances are, no one will notice you are wearing makeup! It's easy to apply and great for those with dry skin. Though it gives an incredibly even glow, it isn't recommended for those with oily skin or those prone to breakouts.
