Paintball Tips- Protective gear is out there for a reason. Don't think you'll be tougher if you go without it. All paintball pros know that to minimize bruising, should should at least wear thick clothing like sweatpants or jumpers.
- Communication and teamwork are the keys to winning. Even if the other team has more experienced players, if they are disorganized while you continually communicate with your teammates, you will have the advantage.
- No matter how tempting it is, DO NOT SHOOT ANYONE IN THE HEAD.
- In correlation with the tip above, NEVER TAKE OFF YOUR MASK.
- Overshooting or continually shooting a player after he or she has been hit is extremely unsportsmanlike and definitely urges the other team to take revenge...and paintballs may not be involved.
- Don't be afraid of getting hit. It doesn't hurt as much as you think (it hurts less than stubbing your toe) and it will prevent you from actually having any fun.
- Football cleats are great for all paintball terrains.
- Don't stay in the same spot for too long and constantly change the spot from which you are shooting.
- NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER--at least not until the ref calls you out.
