Metal Gear Solid
The game, which followed the exploits of Solid Snake, was an action/adventure game that relied heavily on using stealth and had a presentation that was superior to anything else on the platform. The levels were huge, vast, and detailed, perfect for months--- not hours--- of fun. |
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
This is probably one of the best 2D side scrolling games of all time. The gameplay and controls are perfect, the graphics are amazing for its time, and the music is really cool. A must for side scrolling game fans. |
Gran Turismo 2
This game ruled! There are plenty of modes to play in and lots of levels and cars to unlock. It featured over 500 licensed vehicles, tons of tracks, and provided what was a phenomenal racing experience. |
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Extreme sports were never better. It combined grit and rad culture in a way that almost defined the youth culture of the time. The tricks were phenomenal, as was the pure energy of the game. |
Resident Evil 2
An awesome game that has been the inspiration for countless other, more modern games. Taking place a few months after the first game, you can choose between two characters that each have their own separate story line. It was a brilliant sequel that still stands as the best Resident Evil game on PlayStation. |
